Harris
made a huge impact on us all - the open space was amazing. We're
looking forward to visiting again soon. We visited the Rodel
bar before work began and are following its progress on this
site with interest!
Wonderful
site!! I especially enjoyed the article on boat building. I
am from a family of Scottish fishermen, so truly enjoyed the
section on the Fishing Industry. I hope to visit Scotland in
2002. The Isle of Harris will definately be in our plans.
Am
a frequent visitor to the islands and will be in Harris in May.
Your site is excellent and a tribute to those who took the trouble
to construct and maintain it. Gwych! ( a touch of Welsh Gaelic
for you-more in May.
Ace
web site.Makes me feel homesick looking through it.Hope to be
home at easter time to see my parents Kenna and John in the
cresent. Hi Marjory, I will get round to sending you an E mail
soon. Hi to all who know me xxxx
Great
site - brought back many memories of family holidays spent in
Leverburgh with all the relatives Morag & George MacDirmid
could fit in the house ! Keep the Community Spirit flowing,
enjoyed catching up on the new. We moved to OZ a few years ago
but plan visiting in the next few years.
We
have been visiting the Islands for many years and still find
them fasinating. This New Year with the snow the views were
even more beautiful. We as a family including a teenage son cannot
wait to return. The sooner the better.
So
glad to find a site on this wonderous place. I must have spent
every summer until I was 12 years old in leverburgh. My father
and mother are both from there, I have been back as an adult
on a number of occasions, totally love the place.
My
parents came from Harris and it's lovely to see that you have
your own page.I haven't been to Kintulavig for many years, but
I wish to return some day.The place holds many special memories
for me.
Thoroughly
enjoyed learning more about Leverburgh. My parents, Rona &
Matthew, both came from the village, but left many years ago,
I know they miss the place. I hope to eventually take my daughter
to visit your beautiful island, to let her see where granny
& papa grew up.

Last
summer my family and I had a splendid holiday in Finsbay. I
met the sympathetic John MacAuley who was building his nineteen
foot boat. I sent him several emails and some pictures but never
got any reaction. Can anyone tell me if he is still living and
working at Harris?

stayed at the best B and B we have stayed in it was called Grimesdale
and was run by Faraquar Mcleod Top Stuff.Restraunt by eh jetty

Hello
Calum, I am so impressed with this cool website that i have
told all my friends to look it up. It makes me quite homesick
though, see you all at Christmas time.
E.T.I.

this great home based business opportunity should send me an
e-mail. [email protected]
Brilliant
Web site - great to catch up with the Leverburgh news. Brilliant
to go through the guest book, spent ages going "ooh look who
it is, haven't heard from them in years!!" Any e-mails from
anyone that remembers me would be appreciated!!
Great
site and very well done. We just had a visit from some Leverburgh
Mafia (Francis & Fiona Maclean and their kids) A great time
was had by all. Calum: I have a watercolour of yours, painted
from "Ceann an t'shaile" Flodabay, showing my brother's house
and the bay. Any chance of putting a copy up on the gallery?
What
a fabulous site. It's a credit to South Harris. Whenever I feel
a bit homesick I can have a peep to make me feel I'm back home
again and the best of it is the weather is always good!!
Brilliant
Website best I've seen,I was born and bred in Leverburgh and
the site brought back memories I try to return to the Island
every year with my children and stay with my parents on Dunmore
Crescent.Feel free to send me an email and we can swap memories
or if we went to school together get in touch.
What
a great site !! It is nice to see Harris in the WWW. We visit
Scotland since more than ten years regularly once or twice a
year, but Harris is our great love! Fantastic beaches there
and a wonderful spot on earth for walking and relaxing. A big
"Hello" to Norma & Keith Green in Leverburgh. In September
2000 we stayed in their beautiful self-catering house, called
"The White Cottage" at Rodel. We had a great time there and
we look forward to see Harris in 2001 again! Take care!
