Leverhulme Memorial School is a primary school
with a school roll of around 31 pupils. As well as being a mainstream
school it has a Gaelic Medium section.
Like all schools in the Western Isles Leverhulme
Memorial has suffered from education cut backs and decline in population.
The school once had a secondary department that went up to Fourth
year. Secondary pupils now go to the Sir E. Scott School in Tarbert.
The school is also the hub of many community activities
such as the bowls club, badminton club, etc.
